Video of the US F-35B stealth fighter Plug into the ground exploded on social media, according to The Drive.
Accordingly, the explosion occurred after a US stealth fighter crashed into one of the KC-130J Hercules tanker aircraft in southern California on September 30.
The F-35B fighter jet was lucky to be launched safely in time while the entire crew of the KC-130J fuel plane also survived the emergency landing.
Video recorded by those who witnessed the incident at the scene shows the strong sound of the F-35B's collision and subsequent explosion.
According to The Drive, the F-35B, coded Volt 93, crashed into the KC-130J, coded Raider 50, causing severe damage to both aircraft at around 4pm local time.
The military said both aircraft in the incident were instructed to attend a training course on weapons and tactics at the US Navy's Yuma Air Force Station in Arizona at the time of the crash.
The KC-130J plane in distress belonged to the 352nd Flight Fighter Championship (VGMR-352) while it is still unclear which unit the F-35B fighter belonged to.
The accident that caused the US F-35B fighter jet to explode is still under investigation.
