Vietnam - UK exchange cooperation agreements in many fields

The cooperation agreement handover ceremony in London on the morning of October 30 marked a new step forward in Vietnam - UK relations, with many major projects.

According to VNA, on the morning of October 30 (local time), General Secretary To Lam and the Vietnamese high-ranking delegation witnessed the Awarding Ceremony of Cooperation Agreement of ministries, branches, government agencies and localities, along with corporations and enterprises at the Vietnam - UK Summit in London, within the framework of the official visit to the United Kingdom and Northern Ireland.

Agreement between ministries, branches, agencies and the Government includes:

Agreement on cooperation and mutual administrative support in the customs sector; Green finance development cooperation; Cooperation in providing capital for key projects in Vietnam;

Cooperation in developing international financial centers; Cooperation in the field of international bond issuance; Cooperation agreement on clean energy; Memorandum of Understanding on product safety;

Cooperation on clean energy and transition grid electricity; Natural disaster risk mitigation partnership framework; Agreement on implementing technical assistance projects for "sustainable transformation, adaptation to climate change and oceans".

Cooperation agreements between localities and international organizations include:

Friendly cooperation between Ho Chi Minh City and Liverpool City; Investment registration certificate for Castrol Gogoro Mobility joint venture project in the field of electric motorbikes in Vietnam; Cooperation in research and construction of maintenance, repair and maintenance facilities (MRO) at Van Don airport; Cooperation in satellite design and production in Vietnam.

Cooperation agreements between corporations and enterprises include:

Cooperate in financing export credit for renewable energy projects of the Vietnam National Energy Industry Group (PVN) and member units;

Supporting British health experts from Facing the World to carry out charity programs in Vietnam and provide training programs for doctors at partner hospitals of Facing the World;

Cooperate to share experiences and support exchanges of performances and artists;

Contracts for the purchase of 100 A321neo aircraft, with the option to purchase the next 50 aircraft worth 25 billion USD; Contracts for the provision of rolls-Royce Trent 7,000 maintenance and spare engine services for Vietjet's A330neo aircraft fleet worth 3.8 billion USD;

Comprehensive strategic cooperation to improve access to new drugs, clinical trials and transfer practical knowledge in vaccine production (worth 500 million pounds, equivalent to about 660 million USD);

Training cooperation supports Vietnamese experts in applying international financial reporting standards (IFRS); Cooperation in developing integrated English models in schools, applying artificial intelligence (AI) technology for taking on-the-PC exams and integrating AI in the curriculum;

Cooperate on the establishment of international boarding schools with the name, brand, spirit and professional knowledge of Ardingly College in Vietnam;

Collaborating to leverage FPT's digital capabilities and advanced AI applications to accelerate Chelsea Club's comprehensive digital transformation, including digital platforms, fan interaction, business operations and new technologies;

Cooperate in research and development of seaport, airport, logistics and integrated industry complexes; Cooperate in trade in natural fragrances, develop green chemicals; Sharing information and experience in lottery business operations.
