Vietnamese Ministry of Foreign Affairs informed on July 8: Faced with the great loss of life and property caused by the double earthquake on June 24 to the Venezuelan people, based on the traditional friendly solidarity and spirit of mutual support between the Vietnamese people and the Venezuelan people, the Party, State and people of Vietnam have decided to provide emergency humanitarian aid of 300,000 USD to help the Government and people of Venezuela overcome the consequences of natural disasters and soon stabilize the lives of people in affected areas.
Xinhua News Agency on July 8 reported that, according to the official update announced by Venezuelan National Assembly President Jorge Rodriguez on July 7, local time, the number of deaths from earthquakes in Venezuela has increased to 3,685 people and 16,740 others were injured. A total of 17,907 people have lost their homes. Since the 2 earthquakes occurred on June 24, Venezuela has recorded 1,076 aftershocks.
