Vietnam is ready to provide support to Venezuela after the double earthquake

On the basis of the good traditional relationship between Vietnam and Venezuela, Vietnam is ready to have forms of support for Venezuela.

At the regular press conference of the Vietnamese Ministry of Foreign Affairs on the afternoon of June 25, Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Pham Thu Hang said that upon receiving information about the double earthquake in Venezuela on the evening of June 24, General Secretary and President To Lam sent a telegram of condolences to the interim President of the Republic of Venezuela Delcy Rodríguez Gómez.

Politburo member, Minister of Foreign Affairs Le Hoai Trung just visited Venezuela and had a direct greeting. According to information from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Minister Le Hoai Trung has an official visit to Venezuela from June 23-24.

Based on the good traditional relationship between Vietnam and Venezuela, Vietnam is ready to have forms of support for Venezuela" - Ms. Pham Thu Hang shared.

Also at the press conference, informing about the protection of Vietnamese citizens in Venezuela after the strong earthquake, Spokesperson Pham Thu Hang said that according to the latest information from the Vietnamese Embassy in Venezuela, to date, Vietnamese citizens living, studying, and working in Venezuela are safe.

The Vietnamese Embassy in Venezuela is continuing to work with relevant local agencies to closely monitor the situation and promptly take measures to support and protect citizens in case Vietnamese citizens are affected by the earthquake.

Representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs recommend that Vietnamese citizens with urgent requests for assistance contact the hotline of the Vietnamese Embassy in Venezuela as well as the Citizen Protection hotline of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
