According to information from the People's Committee of Mong Cai City, on December 8, in Dongxing City, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, China, the second Vietnam - China cross-border running activity in 2024 with the theme "Friendly neighbors - both comrades and brothers" was held.
This activity is within the framework of the China - Vietnam Trade - Tourism Exhibition and Industry Cooperation Week (Dong Hung - Mong Cai) in 2024.
Participating in this race are 1,200 athletes, 600 on each side - officers, employees of agencies, businesses, and border residents on the Chinese and Vietnamese sides over 18 years old.
Mr. Hoang Ba Nam - Provincial Party Committee member, Secretary of Mong Cai City Party Committee (Vietnam); Mr. Bang Thieu Quan - Secretary of Dongxing City Party Committee (China) - along with leaders of Mong Cai City and Dongxing City attended and participated in the cross-border exchange run.
The route runs from the National Gate of Beilun II Bridge in Dongxing to Dongxing Border River Avenue (China); exiting via Beilun I Bridge to Mong Cai City (Vietnam) towards Beilun II Bridge and entering China with a distance of 12 km.
As for the rewards, athletes who completed the race received commemorative medals. The organizing committee also awarded prizes to the three best male and female athletes from Vietnam and China.
It is known that the 2024 China - Vietnam Trade - Tourism Exhibition and Industry Cooperation Week (Dongxing - Mong Cai) will be held from December 5 to December 11, 2024 in Dongxing City, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, China.
The week is a bridge for businesses on both sides to seek joint venture partners, expand markets, increase promotion activities, expand investment and develop tourism...
