On April 5th in Hue city, the 2026 National 25m Aquarium Swimming Championship closed with the final events.
At the tournament, many new national records were set from exciting matches. There were 10 turns of athletes breaking individual records.
Among them, records were recorded respectively by athletes Nguyen Diep Phuong Tram (100m backstroke women's), Nguyen Quang Thuan (400m individual medley men's), Vo Thi My Tien (100m individual medley women's), Nguyen Huy Hoang (400m freestyle men's), Tran Hung Nguyen (200m individual medley men's), Pham Thanh Bao (50m breaststroke men's), Trinh Truong Vinh (200m backstroke men's), Tran Hung Nguyen (200m backstroke men's), Nguyen Quang Thuan (200m butterfly men's) and Vo Thi My Tien (200m butterfly women's).
In addition, there are 8 new national records at the 25m pool in the relay event for men, women, mixed men and women.
On the last day of competition, April 5, athletes Vo Thi My Tien (women's 200m breaststroke, women's 200m freestyle, women's 200m butterfly), Pham Thanh Bao (men's 200m breaststroke), Nguyen Quang Thuan (men's 200m butterfly) were the ones who won the last individual gold medals.
At the end of the tournament, the Ho Chi Minh City team excellently led the overall results with 17 gold medals, 14 silver medals and 14 bronze medals. Tay Ninh team ranked second with 9 gold medals, 2 silver medals while the Army team held third place (8 gold medals, 13 silver medals, 9 bronze medals).
The tournament has had 11 units win medals. The competition program of the 2026 National 25m Aquarium Swimming Championship does not belong to the X-2026 National Sports Games.
After the swimming competition, diving athletes will enter the competition from April 6th in Hue city.
