The Vietnamese swimming team has ended the contract with expert Gustavo (Brazil) after SEA Games 33.
From April onwards, Chinese expert - Mr. Doan Van Cu reached an agreement to come to Vietnam to work.
The coaching staff of the Vietnamese swimming team said that this is an experienced expert with good expertise and will work with our key athletes.
The Vietnamese swimming team has been training in 2026 after completing the SEA Games 33 in Thailand. Athletes are training in Da Nang and Ho Chi Minh City. Each event team is carefully trained by domestic coaches during this time.
This year, the Vietnamese swimming team has a plan to compete in ASIAD 20. Therefore, the addition of Chinese experts to the coaching staff shows the determination to achieve good results at ASIAD 20 of Vietnamese swimming.
Last year, the Vietnamese swimming team held training in China before going to Thailand to compete in SEA Games 33. Many important players of the Vietnamese swimming team such as Nguyen Huy Hoang, Pham Thanh Bao, Tran Hung Nguyen, Vo Thi My Tien... are key faces being prepared for ASIAD 20.
When present in Vietnam, it is expected that Mr. Doan Van Cu will be arranged time to grasp the expertise of athletes at training points before entering official training.
