Nguyen Huy Hoang has arrived in Hue city, preparing to compete in the National Swimming and Diving Championship (25m short course) 2026.
This year's tournament will take place from March 31st to April 5th at a swimming pool in Hue city. The tournament attracts more than 200 athletes from units across the country to compete.
The coaching staff of the Vietnamese swimming team said that all players are given the opportunity to return to their managing units to compete in the tournament.
Therefore, in addition to Nguyen Huy Hoang, many famous athletes will be present to compete such as Tran Hung Nguyen, Nguyen Quang Thuan, Tran Van Nguyen Quoc, Pham Thi Van, Nguyen Thuy Hien, Vo Thi My Tien, Hoang Quy Phuoc, Nguyen Diep Phuong Tram...
This is also the first professional tournament belonging to the national system in 2026 for swimming and diving.
The Vietnam Aquatic Sports Association will organize group events for swimming in the distances of 50m, 100m, 200m, 400m, 800m, 1,500m (freestyle); 50m, 100m, 200m (frog); 50m, 100m, 200m (backstroke); 50m, 100m, 200m (butterfly); 100m, 200m, 400m (mixed); 4x100m freestyle relay; 4x50m, 4x100m mixed relay; 4x100m freestyle relay, 4x200m freestyle, 4x100m mixed.
Diving will compete in distances for swivel, individual double swivel and relay events for men and women.
This year, the Vietnam Aquatic Sports Association will organize the Southeast Asian Referee Class held in Vietnam, taught by expert Ang Peng Wee (Singapore).
The class will be held in Hanoi (April 18 to April 19), Can Tho (May 16 to May 17), Da Nang (June 22 to June 23).
