However, experts predict that the two players with the official tickets to Thailand will be Dinh Van Duy and Phan Cong Duc.
Both players will play as a setter. In the current list of 18 people, only Dinh Van Duy and Phan Cong Duc hold this position.
According to the squad arrangement, head coach Tran Dinh Tien and the coaching staff will need key faces in the setter position. For that reason, Dinh Van Duy and Phan Cong Duc are unlikely to replace him at the present time.
At the 2025 National Championship, both players have achieved high performance. Dinh Van Duy won the national championship with the MB Border Guard team while Phan Cong Duc won the runner-up position with the The Cong Tan Cang team.
During the international tour training session in early 2025, coach Tran Dinh Tien and the coaching staff of the Vietnam Men's Volleyball Team only used Dinh Van Duy and Phan Cong Duc in the setter position at tournaments.
For that reason, people understand that the above players are the pillars to shape the playing style of the Vietnam Men's Volleyball Team.
After the training session in Bac Ninh, the Vietnam Men's Volleyball Team will move to the Southern region to continue training before going to Thailand to participate in the 33rd SEA Games.
At the same time, the coaching staff will select the last 14 players to participate in the Congress. Currently, Vietnamese men's volleyball does not have any players abroad.
