The closing ceremony of ASEAN Para Games 13 was held by host Thailand at the stadium in Nakhon Ratchasima on the evening of January 26.
After days of exciting competition, the coach and disabled athlete of Southeast Asia officially said goodbye to Thailand to meet again in Malaysia at the ASEAN Para Games 14 in 2027.
The host Thailand organizers organized the closing ceremony of ASEAN Para Games 13 with a gentle program as a thank you and appreciation to the participating sports delegations.
At the closing ceremony, 10 disabled sports delegations (Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore, Philippines, Myanmar, Laos, Timor Leste, Brunei) paraded through the main stage of the stadium.
The Vietnamese disabled sports delegation paraded through the main stage of the Opening Ceremony with the national flag, red flag, and yellow star, along with the radiance after the days of competition.
During the ceremony, representatives of host Thailand delivered the summary and closing speech of the Games. Along with that, the ceremony of turning off the torch of ASEAN Para Games 13 and lowering the Southeast Asian Sports Flag for People with Disabilities was held. The Southeast Asian Sports Federation Flag was handed over to representatives of Malaysia, host of ASEAN Para Games 14.

After 1 week of official competition, ASEAN Para Games 13 closed with the overall first place belonging to host Thailand (175 gold medals, 155 silver medals, 156 bronze medals). Second and third places were respectively for Indonesian delegations (135 gold medals, 143 silver medals, 114 bronze medals), Malaysia (64 gold medals, 64 silver medals, 73 bronze medals).
The Vietnamese disabled sports delegation ranked 5th, with achievements of 38 gold medals, 48 silver medals and 58 bronze medals. Vietnamese coaches and athletes with disabilities competed in 11 sports of the Games.
According to the plan, members of the Vietnamese Sports Delegation for People with Disabilities will leave Thailand to return home on January 27.
