Head of the Vietnamese Sports Delegation for People with Disabilities - Ms. Le Thi Hoang Yen once affirmed that the aspiration of coaches and athletes at ASEAN Para Games 13 is to win from 30 to 35 gold medals, ranking in the group of 5 countries with the best results.
With the current achievements and more competition opportunities ahead, the Vietnamese Sports Delegation for People with Disabilities has enough opportunities to complete the set targets.
Currently, the disabled swimming team has had the best results with 10 gold medals, 10 silver medals, 11 bronze medals. On January 24, Vietnamese disabled swimmers will participate in 32 events (by disability group).
Meanwhile, the chess team has won 7 gold medals, 1 silver medal, 2 bronze medals. Many players will continue to compete in rapid chess on January 24. The Vietnamese disabled athletics team temporarily has 5 gold medals, 11 silver medals and 6 bronze medals.
On January 24, many athletes continued to compete in 21 events to aim to win more medals for the Vietnamese Sports Delegation for People with Disabilities.
Temporarily leading the overall standings is the host disabled sports delegation Thailand with 109 gold medals, 102 silver medals and 82 bronze medals.
