On January 21st in Nakhon Ratchasima (Thailand), ASEAN Para Games 13 officially entered the first events. Before competing, the disabled sports delegation predicts that swimmers will soon win the first medals.
In fact, we have achieved the expected results. Disabled swimmer Vo Huynh Anh Khoa won the first gold medal for Vietnam at ASEAN Para Games 13 when finishing No. 1 in the men's 400m freestyle event (S8 disability class).
Anh Khoa achieved a time of 5 minutes 26 seconds 16. Also in this event, athlete Han Quang Thoai won a silver medal (5 minutes 50 seconds 59) and a bronze medal was won by athlete Dang Van Cong (5 minutes 55 seconds 59).

Right at the medal ceremony, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Hoang Dao Cuong met and encouraged athlete Vo Huynh Anh Khoa and the players.
Previously, the Vietnamese Sports Delegation recorded that disabled swimmer Do Thanh Hai won a silver medal in the men's 400m freestyle event (S6 disability class). Thanh Hai had a result of 5 minutes 58 seconds 14. This is Vietnam's first medal at ASEAN Para Games 13.
The Vietnamese disabled sports delegation aims to win from 30 to 35 gold medals in Thailand this time. We participate in 11 official sports of the Games. The competition programs will continue until January 26.
