Thu Vinh and Quang Huy won gold medals at the Asian shooting tournament

    Shooting duo Trinh Thu Vinh and Pham Quang Huy just won gold medals at the 2025 Asian Rifle/Pistol Cup.

    On the morning of February 12, on the opening day of the 2025 Asian Rifle/Pistol Cup, shooters Trinh Thu Vinh and Pham Quang Huy won gold medals in the 10m air pistol mixed team event.

    The two Vietnamese players won with a score of 17-13 against the duo from Indonesia, Darmoyo Arista Perdana Putri and Prabowa Muhamad Iqbal Raia.

    Both will continue to participate in singles events in the following days.

    Also in this event, two other Vietnamese athletes, Nguyen Thuy Trang and Lai Cong Minh, ranked 6th in the qualifying round with 572 points, not qualified for the medal round.

    Thu Vinh and Quang Huy previously won a gold medal in the 10m air pistol mixed pair event at the 2024 Asian Championship. This is the second gold medal at the continental level for the duo.

    The 2025 Asian Shooting Cup has a total of 319 athletes representing 24 countries and territories. There are 72 gold medals, 72 silver medals and 80 bronze medals awarded in individual and team events. The Vietnamese shooting team participates in the tournament with 18 shooters.

    The tournament takes place in Bangkok, Thailand from February 12 to 22.
