The 2026 World Firing Cup (ISSF World Cup 2026) completed its competition program on May 30 local time in Munich (Germany).
This year, the coaching staff of the Vietnamese shooting team registered the competition force with 15 shooters: Ha Minh Thanh, Lai Cong Minh, Le Duy Vuong, Le Thi Mong Tuyen, Nguyen Minh Quang, Nguyen Tam Quang, Nguyen Thuy Dung, Nguyen Thuy Trang, Nguyen Van Quan, Pham Quang Huy, Phi Thanh Thao, Tran Cong Hieu, Trieu Thi Hoa Hong, Vu Tien Nam and Trinh Thu Vinh.
2 events that the Vietnamese shooting team focused on to find opportunities to win medals were men's 10m air pistol, women's 10m air pistol but were unsuccessful.
In the men's 10m air pistol event, shooter Pham Quang Huy did not reach the final.
In the women's 10m air pistol event, shooter Trinh Thu Vinh did not enter the final while Nguyen Thuy Trang finished 7th overall.
On the final day of competition, the Vietnamese shooting team competed in the men's and women's 10m air pistol event with 2 teams.
The shooter pair Nguyen Thuy Trang/Pham Quang Huy achieved 574 points, ranking 15th, while the shooter pair Trinh Thu Vinh/Lai Cong Minh achieved 573 points, ranking 21st. The two teams did not qualify for the final to compete for medals.
The Vietnamese shooting team will return home on May 31. It is expected that in June, the Vietnamese shooting team will compete in the 2026 Southeast Asian Championship.
