On the evening of October 8, at Cau Giay Stadium, the closing ceremony and award ceremony took place - Youth Badminton Tournament for the Tuoi Tre Thu Do Newspaper Cup 2024. After 3 days of exciting competition, nearly 1,200 athletes contributed many good and attractive matches, leaving an impression on the audience.
Speaking at the closing ceremony, journalist Nguyen Manh Hung - Editor-in-Chief of Tuoi Tre Thu Do Newspaper, Head of the Organizing Committee of the tournament said: "The tournament has ended with great success of the athletes, organizers, sponsors and satisfaction of the fans.
The tournament has found promising faces of badminton, contributing to promoting the movement of physical training and sports in schools; at the same time discovering new factors to continue to nurture to participate in the city's teams and eventually the national team.

At this year's tournament, athletes compete in 3 categories: men's doubles, women's doubles and mixed doubles (group 1: 18 years old and under; group 2: 19 - 26 years old).
In particular, for the first time, the tournament is organized for officials, teachers and lecturers aged 70+, for officials, lecturers and teachers working in universities, colleges, vocational colleges, high schools and with a salary of 6 months or more.
In this category, athletes compete in two events: men's doubles and mixed doubles (no athletes under 27 years old).
With an increasingly large scale, this year's prize includes cash and prizes with a total value of more than 400 million VND.
The Organizing Committee awarded gold, silver, bronze medals, cash, gifts, and certificates of achievement to athletes who won first, second, third, and bronze prizes in each competition category.
For the overall team award, each winner receives a trophy (First prize), flag, cash and prizes.
Bac Ninh University of Physical Education and Sports won the first prize for the whole team. Second prize went to the 10-10 Youth Sports School. Third prize went to Hanoi National University of Education.
