Vietnam's iron ball wins silver medal at the 2025 Asian Games

The Vietnamese team ended the 2025 Asian Championship with a runner-up position on the last day.

The players of the Vietnamese iron ball team will compete in the final match of the 3-woman women's team against the Cambodian team to compete for the championship on the morning of November 9 at the competition venue in Malaysia.

In the final match, the Vietnam B women's team will face Cambodia. Previously in the semi-final, the Vietnam B women's team beat Vietnam A to qualify for the final while the Cambodia team beat the host team Malaysia B.

In the final match, the players focused on finding opportunities to gain points for themselves. Vietnam B had a chance to score, but the touching shots were not highly accurate, so they did not gain an advantage.

Meanwhile, the Cambodian women's team played steadily, thereby scoring the final decisive points. At the end of the 3-woman team final, Vietnam B lost with a score of 5-13, so they had the runner-up position. In this event, the Vietnam A women's team won a bronze medal.

In the previous competition days, the Vietnam Iron Ball Team won 2 bronze medals in the men's and women's technical events.

At the end of the 2025 Asian Championship, the Vietnam Railway Team had 1 silver medal and 3 bronze medals. Before participating in the tournament, the coaching staff of the Vietnam Golden Ball Team set a goal of achieving the highest achievement. We had the opportunity to win a gold medal but were not successful, so this is a pity.

The iron ball has been included in the official competition program of the 33rd SEA Games in Thailand and we have participated in all events.
