Today (March 30), phase 1 of the 2025 National Volleyball Championship continues to take place at the Dong Anh District Gymnasium, Hanoi.
The highlight match is the men's match between Sanest Khanh Hoa and Ho Chi Minh City Police. In particular, fans are waiting for Sanest Khanh Hoa to cause difficulties, even create surprises against the top team.
In this year's season, Sanest Khanh Hoa has encountered difficulties in terms of personnel when many key players left. The lack of personnel has caused coach Ngo Van Kieu and his team to modestly aim to stay in the league after many years of competing for the championship.
As predicted, contrary to the confidence of previous years, the coastal city team has faced many challenges when entering this year's season.
They suffered 2 defeats against Long An (1-3), Border Guard (1-3) and won 2 matches against Hanoi (3-0) and LPB Ninh Binh (3-0). After 4 matches, coach Ngo Van Kieu's team is ranked 4th on the rankings.

However, in all 4 recent matches, the way Sanest Khanh Hoa played was enough to make fans feel satisfied. Although the force was outclassed, Sanest Khanh Hoa did not play as a down side but took the initiative to fight back and forth with the opponent. In their squad, there are still important faces, especially the trio of Duong Van Tien, Le Van Thanh, Evandro Dias.
The three names above are still an uncomfortable challenge for any opponent. Sanest Khanh Hoa played a very attractive exchange of blows to the final points against defending champion Border Guard, creating an encroachment and a final victory against defending runner-up LPB Ninh Binh.
It is easy to see that the spirit of excitement and not giving up is the factor that helps Sanest Khanh Hoa flourish at important times. Head coach Ngo Van Kieu shared: "Our goal this season is to compete for relegation. We lost to Long An, so the victory over LPB Ninh Binh will be the premise for the whole team to continue pursuing the above goal.
This year's teams are very even, separating the top from the beginning with 4 teams with clear upper and lower ranks. I see that compared to the teams below, our squad is similar. The most important thing is whether the players are playing well or not at the time of entering the field. If possible, we are not afraid of any opponent.
I also feel a little sad because after 18 years, Sanest Khanh Hoa has never encountered difficulties like this year. Previously, the team was always in the top 4 and was highly expected. This year there are some problems, but I believe that after the rain, the weather will be bright".

With that hope, coach Ngo Van Kieu and his team will enter the competition with Ho Chi Minh City Police - a rookie team but is in extremely impressive form, as evidenced by the top position they are holding.
Ho Chi Minh City Police owns quality domestic players such as Quan Trong Nghia, Quoc Duy, Quoc Du, especially foreign player Michal Kubiak. Against this opponent, the spirit and bravery of not hesitating against any opponent is the biggest support for Sanest Khanh Hoa.
The match between Sanest Khanh Hoa and Ho Chi Minh City Police takes place at 2:30 p.m. today, March 30.
