Men's team guaranteed conditions for Asian tournament
The Vietnam men's volleyball team will participate in the 2025 Asian Volleyball Club Championship, replacing the Border Guard club and renaming it Sport Center 3.
Currently, coach Tran Dinh Tien's students are in a relaxed and confident spirit ahead of the tournament. A representative of the coaching staff of the Vietnam men's volleyball team from Japan said that the organizing committee arranged a hotel to ensure the health of the players.
Vietnamese players are also arranged to practice on the field in accordance with regulations. The health and medical problems of each participating team are carefully guaranteed by the host Japan.
Sport Center will face Al Muhharraq at 10:35 on May 12.
The women's team will add assistant coaches
Currently, the Vietnam women's volleyball team is concentrated in Quang Ninh. In the first training session, coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet did not have the help of two assistant coaches, Nguyen Thi Ngoc Hoa (the team after the 2025 national youth tournament) and Nguyen Trong Linh (assigned from the Information Corps team - Dong Bac Command).
According to Mr. Kiet, the team will still keep the coaching staff as professionals and the addition of members will be after the first training session.
The immediate priority of the Vietnamese women's volleyball team is to prepare professional tactics and find the players' cohesion.
Thien Tan Volleyball Cup 2025 Professional Meeting
Today (May 11), in Ho Chi Minh City, the organizing committee of the 2025 Tianjin Volleyball Cup held a technical meeting and drawn lots for groups. This year's tournament has the participation of 52 football teams (34 men's teams and 18 women's teams) from academies, universities, colleges, and semi-professional clubs in Ho Chi Minh City and some neighboring provinces and cities.
In the men's event, there are 8 groups and in the women's event, there are 4 groups. The teams will compete in a round-robin format to select the first and second-placed teams in each group to the next round.
According to the schedule, the 2025 Tianjin Volleyball Cup will open on May 31. The teams will start competing from May 24 to June 1 at 2 locations: the Ho Chi Minh City University of Physical Education and Sports Stadium and the Go Vap District Cultural and Sports Center Gymnasium.
