Women's team prepares for VTV Cup
Immediately after the end of the AVC Nations Cup on the evening of June 14, the Vietnam women's volleyball team and U21 Vietnam departed for Quang Ninh to continue training.
It is expected that the whole team will practice in Quang Ninh for 10 days. Athletes will first recover their health and spirit and then start doing exercises, aiming for new goals.
After that, both teams will go to Vinh Phuc to prepare for the VTV Cup 2025. The tournament started from June 28 to July 5 at Vinh Phuc Provincial Sports Gymnasium. This is the third time Vinh Phuc has hosted the tournament after 2006 and 2012.
Khanh Dang's trophy is broken
After winning the AVC Nations Cup 2025, the Vietnam women's volleyball team has 3 individuals honored. Bich Tuyen won the Best Athlete award, Thanh Thuy was the Best Striker and Khanh Dang was the Best Libero.
The athletes all received commemorative cups from the organizing committee. However, sharing on his personal page, Khanh Dang's trophy was broken.
After winning the AVC Nations Cup 2025, the Vietnamese women's volleyball team received a "hot" reward of 100 million VND from a large corporation.
Vietnam men's volleyball team arrives in Bahrain
On June 15, head coach Tran Dinh Tien and 14 players of the Vietnam men's volleyball team officially arrived in Bahrain to participate in the AVC Nations Cup 2025.
This is the second international professional tournament of the Vietnam men's volleyball team in 2025.
According to the draw, the 12 teams participating in the AVC Nations Cup 2025 are divided into 4 groups (3 teams each). The Vietnam men's volleyball team is in Group D with Korea and New Zealand. After the round-robin matches, the top 2 teams will have tickets to the quarter-finals.
This is the third consecutive time the Vietnam team has participated in the AVC Nations Cup. In 2023, the team ranked 4th, and in 2024 it ranked 6th overall.
