AVC Nations Cup 2025 has ended with the championship for the Vietnam women's volleyball team. Coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet and his team defeated the Philippines with a score of 3-0 in the final match to win the entire tournament and won the third consecutive title in this tournament.
The recent victory helped the Vietnam women's volleyball team gain an additional 5.01 points on the FIVB World Volleyball Federation's rankings. As of the morning of June 15, the Vietnamese girls have 141.21 points and are ranked 25th in the world. This is the highest ranking in the history of Vietnamese women's volleyball.
The 2025 AVC Nations Cup champion is only 4 points behind 24th place Cuba (145.17 points).
In particular, this is the 5th consecutive time in just one week that the Vietnam women's team has set a new historic milestone on the FIVB rankings. Before the tournament, coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet and his team were ranked 32nd but have now jumped 7 places.
The world-famous volleyball website Volleyballworld recorded that the Vietnamese women's team became one of the two teams with the highest breakthrough last week when they were promoted 5 consecutively, only behind the Indonesian team (up 10 places). The Indonesian team is currently ranked 48th in the world with a total score of 58.03 points.
Closing the journey at AVC Nations Cup 2025, today (June 15), the Vietnam women's volleyball team will travel to Quang Ninh to continue training. Coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet and his team will have about 10 days to prepare for the VTV Cup 2025, starting from June 28 in Vinh Phuc.
