Pham Yen celebrates her 39th birthday
Today (October 20) is the 39th birthday of former player Pham Thi Yen. She received many wishes from relatives, friends and fans. On her personal page, middle blocker Tran Viet Huong also posted a picture of the Information Corps team celebrating Pham Thi Yen's birthday and sent the beauty born in 1985 her best wishes.
As one of the faces of the golden generation of Vietnamese women's volleyball, Pham Thi Yen has moved to coaching at the women's team of the Information Corps after retiring. At the age of 39, the former player from Ha Nam is still focusing on her career.
She expressed: "I am a very strong person. I rarely show weakness. I also grew up in the military environment. I am very strict with myself, my life schedule and training schedule are all arranged and implemented seriously and neatly... So maybe, I will also be strict with others.
I think men must be very brave when they love women who play sports. They must have great sympathy, understanding, and sharing. Men must understand what strong women need, so that they know what they should do to maintain their emotions and balance the relationship. Even though I am strong, I do not go looking for them, but when men come, they will probably know how to show their bravery to me."
Kim Thoa says things to note
As the farthest team, VTV Binh Dien Long An moved to the North early on October 18 to practice at Bac Ninh University of Sports and Physical Education to get used to the climate before going to Lao Cai to participate in the second phase of the 2024 national championship.
Setter Kim Thoa said: "Currently, the team's spirit is very good. The team is united and carries out specialized training plans according to the teachers and coaching staff.
As a setter like me, there are many things to keep in mind. Maintaining good observation is the key to success. If I can see my teammates in the right positions, I can coordinate with them to have effective passes."
Signal Corps high intensity training
The Information Corps Women's Team is actively preparing for the second phase of the 2024 National Championship. Coach Pham Minh Dung's team is currently practicing intensively 2 sessions/day. This helps the players achieve the highest performance in professional exercises. The army team is actively focusing on improving defense in step 1.
In phase 2, the army team has strengthened its foreign players with the appearance of 37-year-old striker Jana Kulan. She is considered an extremely high-quality contract, one of the most formidable foreign players to ever set foot in Vietnam.
