Vietnam men's volleyball team out of the world top 60
In the FIVB's recently announced rankings, the Vietnamese men's volleyball team is ranked 62nd in the world.
The AVC Cup 2026 for men's teams is held from June 20 to June 28 in India. Unfortunately, the Vietnamese men's volleyball team does not have a spot to compete in this tournament. Therefore, our scores on the FIVB rankings have not improved.
The last time the Vietnamese men's volleyball team scored points in the FIVB rankings was in July 2025. At that time, the players participated in two legs of the SEA V.League 2025 tournament.
The Vietnamese men's volleyball team is training at the National High-Level Athlete Training Center.
In July, the whole team will participate in two legs of the SEA V.League 2026 tournament. This will be the first international tournament since SEA Games 33 that Vietnamese men's volleyball players will compete in.
Bich Thuy still has a chance to return to Japan
Middle blocker Tran Thi Bich Thuy may have the opportunity to return to Japan in the 2026-2027 season.
According to research, the return to Japan of this national team player also depends on the professional plan of the managing team, Duc Giang Chemicals.
She is training in Da Lat (Lam Dong) with the Vietnamese Women's Volleyball Team.
Bich Thuy has competed in round 1 of the 2026 National Club Championship in Dong Anh (Hanoi). She will continue to prepare professionally to compete in round 2 of the National Club Championship taking place in October 2026 in Vinh Long with Duc Giang Chemicals.
However, October 2026 will be the time when the Japan Women's National Championship opens the 2026-2027 season.
Last year, Bich Thuy went to Japan to compete from November. She was facilitated by the managing unit to wear the shirt of the Okayama Seagulls team of the Japanese league. This middle blocker ended her contract with the Okayama Seagulls team in April 2026 to return home to continue participating in the national league.
Nguyen Thanh Hai practices recovery
Middle blocker Nguyen Thanh Hai is not named in the Vietnam Men's Volleyball Team at the moment.
Last year, Thanh Hai wore the Vietnam Men's Volleyball Team jersey to participate in SEA Games 33.
During this time, Thanh Hai is actively practicing to recover his fitness in Ho Chi Minh City. Images of training to soon have the best physical recovery are regularly posted by Thanh Hai on his personal Facebook page.
Earlier this year, Thanh Hai joined the Ho Chi Minh City Police men's football team. This team won the Hung Vuong Cup 2026 championship and is temporarily holding 2nd place in the men's rankings after round 1 of the 2026 National Club Championship.
