Players Kieu Trinh, Quynh Huong receive certificates of merit
At the preliminary conference on the work in the first 6 months of 2026 of the Women's Volleyball Team of the Information Corps, authorized by the Heads of the Ministry of National Defense and the Signal Corps, leaders of the Signal Corps awarded certificates of merit from the Minister of National Defense to professional soldier Captain Hoang Thi Kieu Trinh for her outstanding achievements in the work from 2024 to 2025, contributing to the cause of building the Army, consolidating national defense and protecting the Fatherland.
Along with that, player Pham Quynh Huong was awarded a Certificate of Merit from the leaders of the Signal Corps.
Quynh Huong has just completed the high school graduation exam program and has returned to professional training at the football team.
She was proposed by her managing team to join the Vietnamese Women's Volleyball Team late, although initially the Vietnam Volleyball Federation included her in the training list in May to participate in the AVC Cup 2026.
Currently, Kieu Trinh and Quynh Huong are practicing professional skills at the Information Corps team.
Vietnamese volleyball's ASIAD 20 plan
The Vietnam Volleyball Federation is developing a plan to propose that the Vietnam Department of Physical Education and Sports can register to participate in ASIAD 20 in all 4 events including men's and women's (indoor) volleyball and men's and women's beach volleyball.
At this time, the parties are calculating the ability of each national volleyball team to participate in competition while determining specific goals in Japan.
It is likely that some national volleyball teams will participate in ASIAD 20 using socialized sources.
At ASIAD 19 held in 2023 in China, the Vietnam Sports Administration only registered the Women's Volleyball Team (indoor) to compete.
Men's volleyball (indoor) and men's and women's beach volleyball teams did not participate in ASIAD 19.
Volleyball of ASIAD 20 will kick off on September 16 in Japan.
