Vietnam U18 women's team settles down in Thailand

The Vietnam U18 women's volleyball team arrived in Thailand at noon on June 21.

When arriving in Bangkok (Thailand) after a journey from Hanoi, coach Nguyen Thi Ngoc Hoa, along with the coaching staff and players arranged by the Organizing Committee, continued to move to Nakhon Ratchasima.

This is where the 2026 Southeast Asian U18 Championship will be held from June 23 to June 28.

The coaching staff of the Vietnam U18 women's volleyball team said that all players are in good condition when they are in Thailand and are arranged for stable accommodation.

The organizers arranged a training schedule to get acquainted with the field for the Vietnamese women's volleyball team to prepare before officially competing.

According to the schedule, a professional meeting of the 2026 Southeast Asian U18 Championship will be held on June 22.

Here, the coaching staff of the Vietnamese women's volleyball team confirmed the list of 14 official players with the Organizing Committee and registered specific jersey colors.

The 2027 Women's World Championship will be renamed

The International Women's Volleyball Federation (FIVB) will rename the 2027 Women's World Championship to the 2027 World Cup. Last year, the tournament was called the 2025 World Championship.

The 2027 Women's World Championship competition program takes place in the US and Canada.

Teams wishing to participate in the tournament will have to pass the qualifying round. In which, for teams in Asia, the top 3 teams at the 2026 Asian Championship will receive a place to participate in the tournament.

This year, the 2026 Asian Championship will be held in August in China. In addition, the FIVB World Volleyball Federation is still considering awarding slots to teams ranked in the top 30 in the world (at a specific time).

Last year, the Vietnamese women's volleyball team made history when they won an official spot to participate in the 2025 World Championship held in Thailand.

This year, the Vietnamese women's volleyball team will participate in the 2026 Asian Championship.

The achievements at the tournaments this year will determine whether coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet's team has enough opportunities to continue to participate in the 2027 World Championship.
