3 male players return to training after the first leg of SEA V.Cup 2026
3 volleyball players Ly Van Chuong, Tran Anh Tu, Phan Cong Duc have returned to training at the National High-Level Athlete Training Center.
They returned home after the first leg of the SEA V.Cup 2026 Tournament in the Philippines.
However, the 3 players are still players of the Vietnam Men's Volleyball Team.
Therefore, the training program still takes place according to the professional curriculum plan of the Training Board.
As soon as they returned home from the Philippines, the 3 players returned to the training ground.
In addition to them, 2 players Tran Thanh Nhan, Dao Xuan Viet are still training according to the program of the Vietnam Men's Volleyball Team even though they were not registered for SEA V.Cup 2026.
Stage 2 of the SEA V.Cup 2026 tournament will end on July 26 in Indonesia. It is expected that on July 27, the whole team will return home to continue professional training.
The Vietnamese men's volleyball team still has a training list of 19 players, without adding new faces.
The Vietnamese women's team will choose suitable players to participate in SEA V.Cup 2026
According to the plan, the Vietnamese women's volleyball team will participate in the first leg of the SEA V.Cup 2026 Tournament in Dong Anh (Hanoi) from July 31.
The players are still training to prepare for the tournament.
According to regulations, each team is allowed to register a maximum of 14 players to participate in each stage of the SEA V.Cup 2026 Tournament.
Currently, the coaching staff of the Vietnamese Women's Volleyball Team is considering professional matters before deciding on 14 official players to participate in the first leg.
It is expected that by the end of this week, the players participating in SEA V.Cup 2026 will be decided by coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet.
The last time the Vietnamese women's volleyball team played internationally was the AVC Cup 2026. The list of 14 players at that time included Tran Thi Thanh Thuy, Vo Thi Kim Thoa, Le Nhu Anh, Le Thanh Thuy, Nguyen Khanh Dang, Vi Thi Nhu Quynh, Vi Thi Yen Nhi, Tran Thi Bich Thuy, Ly Thi Luyen, Le Thi Yen, Dinh Thi Thuy, Nguyen Thi Uyen, Dang Thi Kim Thanh and Doan Thi Xuan.
It is possible that many players in this squad will continue to be given the opportunity to participate in the first leg of SEA V.Cup 2026.
Stage 2 of SEA V.Cup 2026 has FIVB ranking points calculated
Stage 2 of the men's content of the SEA V.Cup 2026 tournament has been scored by the International Volleyball Federation FIVB based on the performance results of the ranked teams.
Previously, the results of the first leg of the tournament in the Philippines were not included in the FIVB ranking.
According to FIVB regulations, regional tournaments will calculate achievements based on 1 match to add points on the ranking.
