Vietnamese women's volleyball team drawn on July 28th
The Asian Volleyball Confederation (AVC) will organize a draw for the Groups for the 2026 Asian Women's Championship on July 28.
The program is implemented in China. This year, the Vietnamese women's volleyball team is 1 of 12 teams to be officially awarded a spot to participate.
In addition to us, the teams participating in the 2026 Asian Women's Championship include host China, Thailand, Japan, Kazakhstan, Taiwan (China), South Korea, Iran, Hong Kong (China), Australia, Indonesia and Iraq.
In which, the Thai women's team is the defending champion of the tournament.
It is likely that the Organizing Committee will draw 12 teams into 4 groups (3 teams in each group) to compete.
The Vietnamese women's volleyball team once reached the semi-finals of the 2023 Asian Women's Championship.
This year, coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet and his students have the goal of defending the above achievement. The 2026 Asian Women's Championship will be held from August 21 to August 30.
According to regulations, the top 3 teams of the tournament (champion, runner-up, third place) will receive a ticket to the 2027 World Championship – World Cup 2027.
Expert Federico Rampazzo and his team will leave Indonesia on July 27th.
The Vietnamese men's volleyball team will finish stage 2 of the SEA V.Cup 2026 Tournament in Indonesia on the evening of July 26. We will play the final match against Thailand.
According to the program, on the morning of July 27, the whole team will go home to continue practicing professional preparation.
In stage 2 of the SEA V.Cup 2026, the Vietnam Men's Volleyball Team has 20 members including 14 players, 1 head coach, 2 professional assistants, 1 interpreter, 1 referee, 1 technical statistics.
SEA V.Cup 2026 is the first international competition program of the Vietnam Men's Volleyball Team this year.
The tournament is the official debut of the new coaching staff of the Vietnamese men's volleyball team with the new head coach being Italian expert, Mr. Federico Rampazzo.
Anh Thao's professional plan
Main attacker Bui Thi Anh Thao was registered by the coaching staff of the Vietnamese Women's Volleyball Team into the list of 14 officials to participate in the first leg of the SEA V.Cup 2026 tournament in Dong Anh (Hanoi).
The competition program in Dong Anh (Hanoi) takes place from July 31 to August 2.
Due to being given the opportunity to perform national duties, Bui Thi Anh Thao does not participate in the 2026 National Youth Club Championship being held in Ninh Binh.
However, Anh Thao is one of the players that the Hanoi women's team coaching staff has made a preliminary squad list to prepare for the 2026 National Youth Championship taking place from August 8 to August 23 in Ha Tinh.
However, the official list of 14 young Hanoi female players participating in the 2026 National Youth Championship has not been determined.
If Anh Thao continues to perform national duties with stage 2 of the SEA V.Cup 2026, it is almost certain that she will not return to her managing team to go to Ha Tinh to compete.
