The Vietnamese men's volleyball team will enter the semi-finals of SEA V.Cup 2026 against Indonesia. This is a noteworthy confrontation as both teams aim to reach the final.
The Vietnamese team won a ticket to the semi-finals after finishing second in Group B. Coach Federico Rampazzo's team started with a 2-3 defeat to Thailand despite leading in two sets, but quickly regained their spirit with a 3-0 victory over Myanmar in the last match to complete the goal of passing the group stage.
On the other side, Indonesia showed more stable form when leading Group A. The home team successively defeated the Philippines and Cambodia to win the group first, thereby having a favorable warm-up before the knockout round. With a balanced force and home advantage, Indonesia is considered a big challenge for the Vietnamese team.
However, the Vietnamese team still has a basis to aim for positive results. Key faces such as Ngoc Thuan, Duy Tuyen or Van Duy, Quoc Du all maintain stable form, while the coaching staff also has more tactical adjustment options after the two matches in the group stage.
