According to Lao Dong's investigation, the Vietnam Volleyball Federation and the coaching staff of the Vietnam Women's Volleyball Team have not considered foreign training options in professional preparation stages.
The reason is that the schedule of the Vietnamese women's volleyball team's tournaments is close. Therefore, training needs to be maintained, so the coaching staff will carry out all professional preparation time for players in Vietnam.
Currently, the Vietnamese women's volleyball team is training at Bac Ninh University of Physical Education and Sports.
On May 25, in Hanoi, the Vietnam Volleyball Federation announced the 2026 international competition program of the Vietnamese Women's Volleyball Team.
The tournaments include: AVC Cup 2026 in the Philippines from June 6 to June 14, SEA V.League 2026 (stage 1 in Vietnam from July 31 to August 2; stage 2 in Thailand from August 7 to September 9), VTV Cup 2026 in Vietnam from August 8 to August 15, Asian Championship 2026 in China from August 21 to September 30), ASIAD 20 in Japan from September 16 to September 22. 9.
The Vietnamese women's volleyball team will have a schedule to play at the same time in August between the VTV Cup 2026 and SEA V.League 2026. Therefore, coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet will have to build 2 separate squads to participate in the above 2 tournaments.
In 2025, the Vietnamese women's volleyball team will not train abroad in the preparation stages for the SEA Games 33 in Thailand.
From June 6 to June 14, the Vietnamese women's volleyball team will compete in the AVC Cup 2026 in the Philippines.
