Expected male content of SEA V.League 2026 to change competition format
This year, the men's content of the 2026 Southeast Asian International Volleyball Tournament - SEA V.League 2026 will be held in 2 legs respectively in the Philippines and Indonesia.
SEA V.League 2026 has increased the number of male participating teams to 6, including Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, Philippines, Cambodia, Myanmar.
This year, the organizational format is expected to change. Teams will not compete in a round-robin format as usual, but 6 teams will be drawn into 2 groups (3 teams in each group).
In the group stage, 3 teams from each group play in a round-robin format to determine the ranking.
Next, the 2 teams with the best results in each group will receive a slot to the semi-finals to pair up to compete for a final ticket.
Teams ranked 3rd (after the group stage) will compete with each other to rank 5-6.
At SEA V.League 2026, each team is allowed to register a maximum of 14 players.
The first leg of the men's content of the SEA V.League 2026 takes place from July 15 to July 19, and the second leg is from July 22 to July 26.
