Quoc Duy expresses his feelings
On his personal page, opposite Nguyen Van Quoc Duy posted a photo of practicing with the Vietnam men's volleyball team. The 2001-born hitter shared: "It's been a long time since I've been able to wear a shirt with a red flag with a yellow star".
Although he is a talented setter, Quoc Duy was once absent from the Vietnam men's volleyball team in 2024. This made fans regretful.
At the beginning of the 2025 season, the male player was loaned by the Ho Chi Minh City Police team to compete in the first phase of the national championship. However, he did not have many opportunities to play. Therefore, many people think that Quoc Duy's chance to return to the national team is almost non-existent.
However, being trusted by coach Tran Dinh Tien and the coaching staff is good news for Quoc Duy to continue to show himself.
Men's volleyball team practices the final session
Today (May 7), the Vietnam men's volleyball team will enter the final training session in Hanoi, before traveling to Japan tomorrow (May 8) to participate in the 2025 Asian Men's Club Championship.
Coach Tran Dinh Tien and his team will participate in the tournament instead of Border Guard Club, so the name will be Sport Center 3. In the final training session, the players kept a relaxed, happy spirit and completed the training plan set by the coaching staff.

Head coach Tran Dinh Tien said that the whole team maintained good spirits before participating in the tournament in Japan. This is the first time the players have participated in an international competition in 2025, so the coaching staff requires each player to focus on the competition.
According to this coach, the teams participating in the tournament are all strong teams. This helps Vietnamese players have more opportunities to accumulate for themselves.
Coach Tuan Kiet hopes the women's team will be trained
The Vietnam women's volleyball team has a separate sponsor, accompanying it in tournaments. According to head coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet, this has helped improve the training of coaches and athletes. Equipment for the national team will also be provided.
In addition, the training sessions will be extended. According to Mr. Kiet, in phase 1 (ending in September 2025), the Vietnamese women's volleyball team will only train domestically and will not conduct training abroad.
After the second phase of the 2025 national championship, this coach hopes that the Vietnamese women's volleyball team will have the opportunity to train in Japan or Korea to prepare for the next tasks.
