The Vietnam International Challenge 2026 badminton tournament has drawn lots for the competition events.
This year, the home team representative has players participating including Nguyen Hai Dang, Le Duc Phat, Nguyen Tien Minh, Phan Phuc Thinh, Vu Thi Trang, Pham Thi Dieu Ly, Pham Thi Khanh, Nguyen Thi Ngoc Lan, Than Van Anh, Pham Van Truong, Bui Bich Phuong, Tran Dinh Manh, Pham Van Hai.
The award of participation slots is based on the ranking of the players in the BWF rankings. In the men's singles event, Nguyen Hai Dang was selected as the No. 2 seed. This player is currently the Vietnamese male athlete with the best position in the BWF rankings (ranked 61st).
In addition to Hai Dang, Le Duc Phat was awarded a spot to participate in the men's singles main round of the Vietnam International Challenge 2026 Badminton Tournament.
Players Nguyen Tien Minh, Phan Phuc Thinh must compete in the men's singles preliminary round. This year, Vu Thi Trang is the only Vietnamese player participating in the women's singles event. This player also has to compete in the preliminary round.
In addition to the group of faces above, the host Vietnam has Nguyen Dinh Hoang/Tran Dinh Manh competing in men's doubles.
The women's pair has the pairs of players Pham Thi Dieu Ly/Pham Thi Khanh, Nguyen Thi Ngoc Lan/Than Van Anh. The pairs Pham Van Truong/Bui Bich Phuong, Tran Dinh Manh/Pham Thi Khanh, Pham Van Hai/Than Van Anh will compete in the mixed doubles.
This year's tournament is held at Tay Ho Gymnasium (Hanoi) from March 24 to March 29. From the semi-finals, tickets will be sold. The semi-final ticket price is 100,000 VND/ticket and the final ticket is 150,000 VND/ticket.
