The men's singles event of the Singapore International Challenge 2026 Badminton Tournament will continue to compete on February 27 local time.
Vietnam's No. 4 seed Nguyen Hai Dang took the court on the same day. The Vietnamese player competed against opponent Eogene Ewe (Malaysia). In 2 sets, Hai Dang played focused, finding many opportunities to take the lead and score points. However, the Malaysian opponent was still in better form.
The match closed with a 2-0 victory (21-17, 21-17) for Eogene Ewe. Hai Dang officially stopped at the tournament. Previously, in the men's singles event, Vietnamese badminton had Nguyen Tien Minh, Phan Phuc Thinh, Le Duc Phat eliminated.
In the men's doubles event, 2 Vietnamese players Tran Dinh Hoang and Nguyen Dinh Manh were eliminated, while Pham Van Truong and Bui Bich Phuong lost in the mixed doubles event.
On February 27, the pair of players Pham Thi Khanh and Pham Thi Dieu Ly won in the women's doubles round 2 match. The Vietnamese pair defeated the opponent of the Taiwanese team (China) 2-0, winning the right to enter the quarterfinals.
The Singapore International Challenge 2026 badminton tournament will be held until March 1. The tournament is the first international competition program of Vietnamese badminton in 2026.
After the tournament, some players will continue to stay in Singapore to participate in the next international competition program in early March.
