The badminton players group including Le Duc Phat, Nguyen Hai Dang, Nguyen Tien Minh, Vu Thi Trang, Nguyen Dinh Hoang, Tran Dinh Manh, Pham Thi Khanh, Pham Thi Dieu Ly... will compete in the Singapore International Challenge 2026 Badminton Tournament. The competition program is from February 24 to March 1.
However, the players will go to Singapore on February 22nd (the 6th day of Tet) to get acquainted with the competition venue before going to the official court.
In this tournament, player Nguyen Hai Dang is seed No. 4 in the men's singles event, while Nguyen Tien Minh has to compete from the preliminary round.
In the women's singles event, Vu Thi Trang is the only representative of Vietnam to participate. In addition, Vietnamese badminton also participates in men's doubles, women's doubles, and mixed doubles.
Meanwhile, to prepare for 2026, players of the Vietnam Badminton Team have returned to training after Tet from February 20 (4th day of Tet).
Player Nguyen Thuy Linh has finished her holiday and started training in Bac Ninh.
Thuy Linh will participate in the All England Open 2026 International Badminton Tournament on March 3. Therefore, the No. 1 female badminton player in Vietnam is actively preparing physically to go to competition. Thuy Linh will go to England on the last day of February.
The coaching staff of the Vietnamese badminton team is actively looking for a new expert to replace Mr. Hariawan (Indonesia) who has returned home.
It is expected that in the time immediately after Tet, some professional candidates will be considered to proceed to sign contracts to work with the Vietnam Badminton Team.
