Dang Thi Hong took the field to compete on the first day of the new year 2026 and was posted pictures by many volleyball forums on social networks.

Former player Dang Thi Hong has just participated in an amateur volleyball tournament held in her hometown of Thai Nguyen during Tet 2026.

A large number of fans cheered and took souvenir photos with this former player, after witnessing Dang Thi Hong playing on the field.

However, this is just a grassroots volleyball tournament. Former player Dang Thi Hong has not participated in official tournaments until now.

Thai Nguyen women's volleyball team did not register this player in the list of preparations for the 2026 National League A. The tournament will start on May 16 at Dien Bien Provincial Gymnasium.

Former player Dang Thi Hong was not allowed by the Vietnam Volleyball Federation to participate in official tournaments from September 2025. During the 2025 FIFA U21 World Cup, the International Volleyball Federation (FIVB) revoked Dang Thi Hong's right to play because the player did not meet the regulations. From here, the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Volleyball Federation held a meeting to decide not to allow the player to participate in tournaments in its official system.

Dang Thi Hong has not played in official tournaments since mid-2025. In the final round of the 2025 National League A, this former player was not named in the official list of the Thai Nguyen women's team and the hitter only participated in the role of professional training support for teammates.
