The two Vietnamese men's and women's basketball teams have been listed to participate in the 33rd SEA Games with the goal of achieving the highest achievement.

On November 26, the Vietnam Basketball Federation officially announced the squad to prepare for the 33rd SEA Games in Thailand.

Accordingly, the men's team includes Christopher Dierker, Dinh Thanh Tam, To Ngoc Khanh, Dang Thai Hung, Young Duong Justin, Tran Dang Khoa, Le Khac Dang Khoa, Du Minh An, Huynh Truc Nhan, Pham Hien Tai, Nguyen Huynh Phu Vinh, Vo Kim Ban, Nguyen Phuc Vinh, Nguyen Anh Kiet and Dau Trung Kien.

The Vietnam women's basketball team includes players Bui Thu Hang, Dang Thi Thuy Hang, Mau Thi Nhu Quynh, Tran Thi Thao Huong, Truong Thao Vy, Truong Thao My, Nguyen Thi Tieu Duy, Bui Kim Nhan, Van Thu Thao, Dang Thi Cam Linh, Lieu Yen Nhi, Tran Thi Yen Van, Nguyen Thi Thuy Tien, Nguyen Thi Ngoc Tram, Nguyen Thi Lan Anh.

This is a squad of athletes competing in the 3x3 and 5x5 events.

Among them, the two biological sisters Truong Thao Vy and Truong Thao My are players with good expertise, having won a gold medal at the 32nd SEA Games.

The host Thai organizing committee has just announced the official competition schedule for the 33rd SEA Games basketball. The men's and women's 3x3 events will only take place on December 10 and 11.

The group stage matches will be held on December 10, while the semi-finals and finals will be held on December 11. In the 3x3 event, the Vietnam men's basketball team entered Group B with the Philippines, Laos, and Malaysia. The Vietnam women's basketball team entered Group B with Singapore, Thailand, and Laos.

The 5x5 event will be held from December 13 to December 19. The Vietnam men's basketball team entered Group A with the Philippines and Malaysia. The Vietnam women's basketball team is in Group A with Thailand and Indonesia.

The 33rd SEA Games basketball tournament was held in Bangkok (Thailand).

At the 32nd SEA Games, the Vietnam women's 3x3 basketball team won the gold medal.
