On the afternoon of November 26, U22 Vietnam had its third training session in Ba Ria Ward (HCMC), continuing the preparation phase for the 33rd SEA Games. Before the training session, striker Nguyen Thanh Nhan shared about the training process and competition strategy of the team.
"Entering the third day of training, my team and the U23 Vietnam team have gradually caught up with the intensity. We will try harder. At this time, the whole team is still practicing at high intensity to maintain physical strength," Thanh Nhan said.
Regarding the move of the SEA Games organizing committee in Group B from Songkla to Bangkok, this player commented: "This affects the preparation of U22 Vietnam, but it's okay because the whole team is still trying every day".

Thanh Nhan also assessed the opponents at the 33rd SEA Games: "The opponents at the 33rd SEA Games are all formidable. Indonesia and Thailand are the most formidable. The entire U22 Vietnam team will try to win gold medals. I think the biggest opponent of U22 Vietnam is myself. We will try to overcome ourselves".
Regarding coach Kim Sang-sik's tactics, the striker born in 2003 revealed: "The art of U22 Vietnam will still not be different from the 2025 U23 Southeast Asian tournaments and the 2026 U23 Asian qualifiers. Every player on the attack has his own strengths and so do I myself. I will try to perform well to get a place to compete in the U22 Vietnam jersey".
Thanh Nhan also shared about internal competitive pressure: " Internal competitive pressure is the same for every tournament. Everyone must try their best to help the coach choose the best player. We will try to practice and compete to the best of our ability. Hopefully, fans will accompany the whole team at the 33rd SEA Games".
Currently, U22 Vietnam still maintains a high training intensity, while adjusting tactics and physical strength to cope with changes in competition locations and strong opponents at the 33rd SEA Games. The opening match of U22 Vietnam will take place on December 4.
