The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Vietnam Sports Administration officially established the Vietnamese Sports Delegation (including 90 members) to participate in the 2026 Asian Beach Games in China.
This year, Mr. Le Thanh Ha (Deputy Head of the High-Performance Sports Department, Vietnam Department of Physical Education and Sports) takes on the role of Head of the Vietnamese Sports Delegation.
The Games will compete from April 22 to April 30 with competitions including: 3x3 basketball, open water swimming, water polo, aquaathlon, athletics, beach handball, beach kabaddi, beach soccer, beach volleyball, beach wrestling, traditional boat racing, jujitsu, sailing, mountain climbing sports, teqball.
The Vietnamese sports delegation participating in the Games are swimming, athletics, handball, jujitsu, wrestling, traditional boat racing, sailing and teqball. Members of the Vietnamese Sports Delegation will participate in the Games with state funds and some from socialized funds.
At this Congress, we have many outstanding faces who will participate in the competition such as Nguyen Huy Hoang (swimming), Bui Thi Kim Anh (athletics), Vo Thi My Tien (swimming), Nguyen Thi My Hanh (wrestling)... The goal of Vietnamese sports is to strive to achieve the highest results.
This year, Vietnamese sports will compete at 4 major international sports events including the 2026 Asian Beach Games (AYG 2026), ASIAD 20, Youth Olympics 2026, and the 2026 Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games (AIMAG 2026).
