On the evening of September 9, at the Viet Yen Ward Conference Center, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism coordinated with Bac Ninh Football Club (Bac Ninh FC) to organize a ceremony to launch the team to compete in the National First Division and National Cup 2025-2026.
The 2025-2026 National First Division will start from September 19 with 12 teams: Bac Ninh, Van Hien University, Dong Thap, Gia Dinh, Khatoco Khanh Hoa, Long An, Ho Chi Minh City, Ho Chi Minh City Youth, PVF Youth - People's Public Security, Truong Tuoi Dong Nai, Quang Ninh and Quy Nhon United.
The teams competed in a round-robin of two matches (first and second leg) to calculate the final ranking points, the two teams with the highest ranking will qualify for promotion to V.League 2026-2027.
The 2025 - 2026 National Cup kicks off the qualifying matches from September 12 with the participation of 25 clubs including 14 teams playing in the V.League and 11 teams from the First Division.

Encouraging the team to set off to achieve high results, Chairman of the People's Committee of Bac Ninh province Vuong Quoc Tuan presented the flag to Bac Ninh Football Club to compete in the National First Division and the National Cup 2025-2026.

In the 2025 - 2026 National Professional Football season, the home stadium of the Bac Ninh FC team will be Viet Yen Stadium (Viet Yen ward, Bac Ninh province).
Viet Yen Stadium was inaugurated at the end of 2024, with a total area of over 8,000 m2, the scale of stand A with 7.5 thousand seats and blocks serving spectators, athletes, and administration.
