The rapid chess and blitz chess events ended the final games at the 2026 Asian Youth Chess Championship on July 25 local time in China.
Young Vietnamese chess players focused on competing in the U8, U10, U21, U14, U16 and U18 men's and women's divisions in each event.
In standard chess, we won 2 important individual gold medals.
In the U8 men's group, chess player Truong Phuc Nhat Nguyen won a total of 8 points after 9 games and maintained the No. 1 position.
Meanwhile, chess player Ton Nu Quynh Duong won the standard individual championship of the U18 women's group when she achieved 7.5 points after 9 games.
With blitz chess, the Vietnamese Youth Chess Team won 3 individual gold medals.
The first championship belonged to chess player Hoang Tan Vinh in the U12 men's group with 8 points after 9 matches.
At the U16 men's table, Vietnamese youth chess gathered top figures such as Dau Khuong Duy, Dinh Nho Kiet, Nguyen Nam Kiet, and Nguyen Vuong Tung Lam to participate.
The overall victory and individual gold medal belonged to Dinh Nho Kiet with 7.5 points after 9 sets. In this match, Dau Khuong Duy ranked 4th individually.
The last individual blitz chess gold medal belonged to player Duong Anh Vu in the U18 men's group. Anh Vu achieved 7.5 points after 9 games.
In this tournament, the Organizing Committee also awarded team achievements in each group to participating teams.
