The Vietnamese women's gymnastics team is competing at the 2026 Asian Championships.
This year, the events of the 2026 Asian Women's Championship are held from June 25 to June 28 local time in China.
The Vietnamese women's gymnastics team featured 4 athletes competing including Huynh Thien Ly, Tran Doan Quynh Nam, Nguyen Thi Quynh Nhu and Luong Ngoc Ha.
In which, athlete Luong Ngoc Ha participated in the youth event.
Notably, the 2026 Asian Women's Championship will be considered as the qualifying round for ASIAD 20. This is the first time the Asian Gymnastics Federation has decided the results of the continental championship to be the ASIAD qualifying round.
On the opening day, athlete Nguyen Thi Quynh Nhu excellently won the right to enter the final of the women's vault event.
She ranked 6th in the qualifying round with 13,200 points. Last year, Quynh Nhu won a silver medal in women's vault at the 2025 Asian Women's Championships.
The final of the women's vault event this year in China will take place in the afternoon of June 27. After having the official results, the slots to participate in ASIAD 20 will be announced.
The final has 8 athletes participating, Quynh Nhu will compete against opponents from South Korea, DPRK, Japan, China, Uzbekistan, India.
Also on the first day, player Tran Doan Quynh Nam ranked 17th in the women's individual all-around competition while Huynh Thien Ly held 22nd overall.
The two players did not win a spot to participate in the singles final in the events they participated in.
