On the morning of May 6, in Hanoi, the Vietnam Volleyball Federation held a signing ceremony and announced the sponsor of the National Women's Volleyball Team, which is Dam Phu My Fertilizer and Petrochemical Corporation.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Le Tri Truong - General Secretary of the Vietnam Volleyball Federation said: "First of all, I would like to express my deep gratitude to the sponsor for trusting, understanding and deciding to stand with us.
Over the past years, the Vietnamese women's volleyball team has received the attention and monitoring of fans, often achieving high achievements such as the Silver Medal of SEA Games 31 and 32; Winning the Asian Women's Clubs 2023, gaining the right to attend the World Prize 2023; AVC Challenge Cup 2023; Top 4 for the first time at the Asian Games; Third place FIVB Challenger Cup, marking the first time the team achieved this achievement in the world arena ...
In 2025, the team will participate in many international tournaments such as AVC Nations League, World Championship and especially SEA Games 33... Sponsorship contracts are not only a valuable financial source, but also a spiritual factor that helps the team strive to practice, conquer new achievements, build a team rich in identity and spread the spirit to young people".
This is the first time the Vietnam women's volleyball team has had a accompanying sponsor. This helps the team have more opportunities to practice, compete, and participate in international tournaments, thereby improving their expertise and approaching the level of developed volleyball regions in the world.
At the ceremony, striker Tran Thi Thanh Thuy said: "When I heard that the team had a sponsor accompanying me, I felt happy that Vietnamese volleyball received great attention. This will be the motivation for the whole team to focus on training and trying to compete to achieve high results for the country".
According to the schedule, the Vietnamese women's volleyball team will participate in the Asian tournament - AVC Women's Volleyball Nations Cup 2025 from June 7 to 14.6; the VTV Cup 2025 international volleyball tournament is scheduled to take place from June 28 to July 5.
After that, the team will participate in the Southeast Asian Volleyball Championship - SEA V.League, scheduled to take place in late July - early August and the FIVB Volleyball Women's World Championship from August 22 to September 7.
At the end of 2025, Thanh Thuy and her teammates will compete in the most important tournament of the year, the 33rd SEA Games.
