Mr. Long will be the head coach of the Vietnamese karate team from 2023 to 2025.
Currently, coach Pham Hong Ha has started training the kumite (combat) events of the Vietnamese karate team. Ms. Ha is in charge of professional skills for female martial artists while Iranian expert Hassan is in charge of training male kumite martial artists.

This year, Vietnamese karate martial artists focus on the key task of ASIAD 20 in September in Japan. We have won 1 gold medal, 1 silver medal and 2 bronze medals in karate at ASIAD 19, so we are determined to maintain our achievements at ASIAD 20.
Coach Pham Hong Ha and the coaching staff, along with experts and martial artists, will participate in some international tournaments before participating in ASIAD 20.
