The Vietnam team is looking forward to the away match against Laos in the 2027 Asian Cup qualifiers, while U22 Vietnam will participate in the 2025 Panda Cup international friendly tournament in China and complete preparations for the 33rd SEA Games.
According to the plan, the Vietnam national team will gather from November 10 to 19. After gathering at the Vietnam Youth Football Training Center, the team will travel to Viet Tri (Phu Tho) to practice from November 11 to 14.
From November 15 to 19, coach Kim Sang-sik and his team will go to Laos to compete in the 5th round of the 2027 Asian Cup final qualifiers.
Also during this period, U22 Vietnam had 2 consecutive training sessions. In the 4th round of 2025 (from November 10 to 19, 2025), the team will participate in the Panda Cup 2025 international friendly tournament in China, with the participation of quality teams including China U22, Uzbekistan U22 and Korea U22. In this training session, U22 Vietnam plans to call up about 26 players.
Immediately after the end of the tournament in China, U22 Vietnam will enter the 5th training session in 2025 from November 23 to December 19. This is also considered the rehearsal stage before the 33rd SEA Games.
The team will train in Ba Ria ward (HCMC) from November 23 to 29, then leave for Thailand on December 2 to attend the Congress.
At the 33rd SEA Games, the men's football event has 10 participating teams, divided into 3 groups. Group A and B each have 3 teams, Group C consists of 4 teams. The teams will compete in a round robin to calculate points, the top 3 teams in the group and the second team with the best results will enter the semi-finals.
U22 Vietnam is in Group B, along with U22 Malaysia and U22 Laos.
According to the competition schedule, the group stage will take place from December 3 to 12, the semi-finals on December 15 and the bronze medal matches, the finals will take place on December 18, 2025.
The three stadiums chosen to host the tournament include Rajamangala (Bangkok), Tinsulanonda (Songkhla) and 700th Anniversary of Chiangmai (Chiangmai), in which Rajamangala will host the semi-finals and finals.
In the group stage, U22 Vietnam will meet U22 Laos on December 5 and U22 Malaysia on December 11. Both matches will take place at the 700th Anniversary Stadium.
