Vietnamese cycling team has selected a cyclist to compete in the 2026 Youth Olympics

Vietnamese road cycling officially has 1 spot to participate in the women's event at the 2026 Youth Olympics in Senegal.

The coaching staff of the Vietnamese cycling team said that they have carefully considered professional matters.

Accordingly, young athlete Nguyen Khang Ha My is registered to receive a scholarship for the 2026 Youth Olympics. The Games will take place from October 31 to November 13.

For the first time, Vietnamese cycling was awarded an official spot in the women's individual road event at the Olympic arena.

Nguyen Khang Ha My is a young face with good expertise of Vinh Long Sports and the Vietnamese Young Women's Road Cycling Team.

She is 1 of 3 cyclists (along with athletes Be Hong, Ngoc Diep) who have just been trained in Korea. The training program for 3 young female long-distance cyclists of Vietnam has been implemented at UCI World Cycling Centre Asia – Yeongju, Korea (UCI World Cycling Centre Asia – Yeongju, Korea).

The program is implemented by the World Cycling Union UCI for young potential athletes in Asia.

This is the 2nd time that Vietnamese cyclists have official athletes competing at the Olympics. 2 years ago, cyclist Nguyen Thi That was honored to compete at the 2024 Olympics in France. Now, junior Ha My is the successor to the 2026 Youth Olympics arena.

Last year, Ha My was a member attending the 2026 Asian Youth Games in Bahrain. She competed in the individual start and counting event in the above Games.
