The ASIAD 20 Organizing Committee has completed the roadmap for the long-distance cycling race of the Games to send to countries.
At ASIAD 20, road cycling will compete in individual men's and women's start time events and men's and women's start time events.
The organizing committee stipulates that each team can register a maximum of 4 male cyclists and 4 female cyclists to participate.
In which, for the men's team start and women's team start content, each team is allowed to register a maximum of 3 athletes. The personal timekeeping content will only be allowed to register 1 male athlete and 1 female athlete.
The Vietnamese road cycling team is expected to have a force of male and female cyclists going to Japan to participate in ASIAD 20. In which, it is almost certain that 2 cyclists Pham Le Xuan Loc (male) and Nguyen Thi That (female) will be registered in the competition.
At ASIAD 20, the starting lineup for men has a distance of 116km, while the women's event is 71km.
Meanwhile, the personal countdown competition will perform a circular race route on a road with each lap being 7.9km long. Female athletes will race 3 laps while male athletes will race 4 laps.
Before entering the competition, the teams will be checked by the professional department for bicycles according to regulations. ASIAD 20 road cycling event is held from September 20 to September 23.
