The tournament recorded nearly 250 players competing in 14 sets of medals for standard flags, fast flags, lightning flags, super lightning flags, Asean flags, Maruk flags for men and women.
The Vietnam Department of Physical Education and Sports and the Vietnam Chess Federation shall specify the competition regulations for each event. For the standard flag, players must comply with each side for 90 minutes plus 30 seconds for each country from the first country.
With the fast flag, each side has 15 minutes plus 5 seconds for each country to start from the first country. The lightning flag has 3 minutes plus 2 seconds for each country to compete from the first country and the super lightning flag will compete on each side for 1 minute plus 2 seconds for each country to compete from the start. The total prize is more than 300 million VND.
Last year, the champion of the men's standard chess was champion Nguyen Duc Hoa (Army) and the champion of the women's chess was Bach Ngoc Thuy Duong (Ho Chi Minh City).
