Mr. Duong Tat Thang - Vice Chairman of Ha Tinh Provincial People's Committee has just signed a document agreeing in principle for Ha Tinh Sports and Physical Training and Competition Center to repair and upgrade the running track and the grass of the provincial stadium as proposed by the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Department of Finance.
The People's Committee of Ha Tinh province assigned the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to direct the Center for Sports Training and Competition to survey and re-evaluate the current status of the running track and the stadium grass; prepare documents and procedures to send to the Department of Finance for appraisal in accordance with regulations.
Assign the Department of Finance to preside over and coordinate with relevant units to review, synthesize, advise, and report to the Provincial People's Committee for consideration and decision.
On the afternoon of May 17, Ms. Phan Thi Thu Huong - Director of the Ha Tinh Province Sports Training and Competition Center - said that the Provincial People's Committee has agreed to the policy of repairing the running track and the grass field, but it is a process to be included in the budget for implementation in 2026, not to repair or upgrade this year.
According to Ms. Huong, the running track of the stadium is currently degraded and the grass on the field is quite good. However, the grass surface is quite diverse.
Previously, on February 21, 2025, Vietnam Professional Football Joint Stock Company (VPF) conducted a quality test of the grass surface of Ha Tinh Stadium and concluded that the field surface did not meet the maximum quality requirements.
Therefore, this unit requested Ha Tinh to repair the grass on the field to ensure the quality of V.League matches.
After that, the Ha Tinh Province Sports Training and Competition Center purchased grass to patch the field surface in areas with poor grass.
On February 24, representatives of VPF Company and the organizing committee of the re-inspection concluded that the Ha Tinh field surface was not of good quality.
Therefore, the match in round 15 of V.League 2024-2025 between Hong Linh Ha Tinh Club and Thanh Hoa on February 28 had to be held at Vinh Stadium (Nghe An).
In the following rounds, Ha Tinh Stadium met the conditions for the quality of the field surface, so it was included in the competition.
