After the 0-0 draw against Ha Tinh by Hanoi Police in round 12 of V.League 2024-2025, coach Mano Polking commented on the quality of the pitch that prevented his team from playing well. Thailand's leading sports daily quoted Mr. Polking as saying: "I'm not talking about me or my team, here I want to talk about the V.League. We want to improve the quality of matches, we have to improve the quality of the elements that make up these matches.
The dead ball time in the last match was more than 57 minutes, which is unacceptable. The players of both teams want to play beautiful football, want to create the best competition to please the fans, but we cannot do it on a pitch like this."
According to Thairath, coach Mano Polking's frustrations have created a wave of controversy on social networking sites. Because this is the first time the former coach of the Thai national team is said to have expressed such anger and frustration when working at the V.League.
Regarding the quality of the pitch in preparation for round 13 of V.League 2024-2025, on February 13, Vietnam Professional Football Joint Stock Company (VPF) sent a dispatch requesting the two football teams Hong Linh Ha Tinh and Binh Dinh to immediately take remedial measures.
For Hong Linh Ha Tinh (home match on February 28 against Thanh Hoa), VPF will inspect the field on February 21. As for Binh Dinh club (home match on March 1 against Binh Duong), VPF will inspect the field on February 22.
If any stadium does not meet the requirements, the team must register another stadium as their home stadium. This is a strong move by VPF to rectify the stadium conditions of V.League teams.
