The tournament is organized by the Vietnam Tennis Federation in coordination with the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Culture and Sports, Becamex Group and Binh Duong Business and Sports Joint Stock Company. This is a sports activity aimed at celebrating major holidays such as the Hung Kings Commemoration Day, Southern Liberation Day, National Reunification Day (April 30) and International Labor Day (May 1).
The tournament includes men's singles, women's singles, men's doubles and women's doubles events, organized in two consecutive stages. Stage 1 takes place from April 12 to April 18, stage 2 from April 19 to April 25.
According to the organizers, this year's tournament gathers more than 100 young players from many countries and territories such as the US, Singapore, Thailand, Australia and Vietnam. Among them are many notable young Vietnamese athletes such as Nguyen Nam (HCMC), Le Tien Anh (Army), Phan Binh Bao Quan (Becamex HCMC) and Le Phu Gia (HCMC). In addition, the tournament also has the participation of international players who are in the 600-700 ranking group on the youth rankings of the International Tennis Federation (ITF).
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Hong Son - Vice President cum General Secretary of the Vietnam Tennis Federation said that the tournament is an opportunity for young athletes to have more opportunities to compete, rub shoulders and accumulate experience in the international environment.
Meanwhile, Mr. Lam Vinh Phi - CEO of the tournament assessed that the regular organization of ITF J30 tournaments in Vietnam creates favorable conditions for young players, especially domestic athletes, to improve their professional qualifications and competitive spirit when competing at home.
The ITF U18 - J30 Becamex Group Cup 2026 International Tennis Tournament is considered an opportunity for young players to accumulate international points, towards a professional playing path in the future, and at the same time contribute to promoting the youth tennis movement in Vietnam.
