On the morning of March 17, the Opening Ceremony of the National Club Tennis Championship - AP Sports Cup 2026 officially took place at the Infinity Academy court complex, Ho Chi Minh City, opening the top-level competitions between top Vietnamese tennis players, such as Vu Ha Minh Duc (AP Sports), Nguyen Minh Phat (AP Sports), Nguyen Dai Khanh (Becamex HCMC), Tran Thuy Thanh Truc (HCMC), Nguyen Thi Mai Linh (AP Sports)
The tournament is organized by the Vietnam Tennis Federation (VTF) in coordination with AP Sports club, gathering nearly 100 excellent professional tennis players from strong units and clubs nationwide such as: AP Sports Club, Army, Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang, Hoang Thanh Trung Club, Thai Duong and Becamex Ho Chi Minh City.
The matches will officially take place from March 17 to 24. 3. The tournament has a total prize value of up to 300 million VND, with three competition categories including: Men's team, women's team and men's - women's team, promising to bring exciting and dramatic matches between the leading clubs nationwide.
With the participation of many leading faces of Vietnamese tennis, the tournament is expected to bring high-quality professional matches. Notably, Vietnam's No. 1 player Vu Ha Minh Duc (AP Sports club) and his teammates are considered one of the bright candidates for this year's championship.
Sharing at the opening ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Hong Son - Vice President cum General Secretary of VTF shared: "The National Club Tennis Championship - AP Sports Cup is the first important tournament in the system of about 40 professional, national & international tournaments in 2026 of VTF.
The tournament is not only a professional playground for units and clubs across the country to compete, but also an opportunity for us to discover new factors, promising talents for national tennis.
We believe that with the participation of many strong clubs, along with athletes with high professional qualifications, this year's tournament will bring viewers exciting, dramatic and noble tennis spirit matches".
Not only is it a top playground for professional athletes, the tournament also contributes to promoting the development of the system of tennis clubs nationwide, creating opportunities for exchange, competition and improving the level of players. This is also one of the important activities to strengthen the national competition system, towards raising the level of Vietnamese tennis in the regional and international arenas.
